    It looks like the guide catheter was stuck in the radial artery. Spasm could be a factor and sometime the edge of the guide catheter (which is a bit sharp) can make advancement hard. 

    Tip:

    So, all the above suggestions are reasonable and worth trying. However, another technique you can do is to advance an interventional guide-wire into the guide catheter, then advance a balloon over it and make part of it inside the catheter and the other outside it, then inflate that balloon to a low pressure, after that you may be able to advance the catheter and the balloon together  (Watch attached video).
